Privacy PolicySeabil – Subscriptions Under Control

1. Operator and scope

Seabil is developed and published by TSI Dev Studio. This policy applies only to the Seabil app and its features.

Seabil is not a bank or financial institution, does not provide payment services, does not make payments and does not provide financial advice.

2. Privacy principle

• TSI Dev Studio does not operate a server for subscription data and does not receive the user's local database.
• The app requires no Seabil account, shows no ads and uses no analytics, profiling or behavioral tracking.
• TSI Dev Studio does not sell or rent user data.

3. Data processed and stored locally

• Service names, prices, currencies, payment frequencies, renewal dates, categories and notes entered by the user.
• Subscription status, price history, confirmed payments and trial information.
• Payment-method labels and colors, Cancellation Vault information, preferences, notification settings, onboarding, monthly review and Lifetime feature state.
• Payment methods are labels only. Seabil does not request card numbers, CVV, PIN, IBAN or banking credentials.

4. Data Seabil does not access

• Bank accounts or transactions, SMS, contacts, call history, location, camera, microphone, photos or videos.
• Email, passwords from other apps, notifications from other apps or the clipboard automatically.

5. Smart Paste

Smart Paste processes locally only text that the user types or pastes manually to identify a service name, amount, date and frequency. Seabil does not automatically read or monitor the clipboard, does not send the text to a server and does not retain the raw text after leaving the flow. The user must verify the result before saving.

6. Local storage and Android Auto Backup

The database and preferences remain on the device. Android Auto Backup and automatic app-data transfer between devices are disabled. Data can be transferred only when the user explicitly creates a Seabil backup or CSV export.

7. Encrypted Seabil backup

• Lifetime users can manually create a password-protected encrypted backup containing subscriptions, trials, Cancellation Vault data, price history, payment methods, payment records and preferences needed for restoration.
• The backup excludes Lifetime entitlement, Google Play payment information, the backup password, persistent encryption keys, banking data and usage logs.
• The password is not stored and cannot be viewed, recovered or reset by TSI Dev Studio. Without it, the backup cannot be restored.

8. Files, restore and user-selected services

• The Android file picker lets the user choose the file and a local or cloud destination. Seabil does not automatically upload files to a cloud service.
• If the user selects Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or another provider, that provider processes the file under its own policy.
• Replace removes current local data and replaces it with the backup. Merge keeps local data, adds backup data and may require conflict resolution.
• Backup structure and integrity are checked before restoration, and database operations are transactional.

9. Unencrypted CSV export

• CSV is intended for spreadsheet analysis; it is not encrypted, is not a Seabil backup and cannot restore the app.
• Anyone who gains access can read it. Notes, cancellation reasons and management links are excluded by default and included only when the user chooses.
• The user selects the destination and is responsible for protecting and deleting the file when no longer needed.

10. Local notifications and scheduling

With permission, Seabil may show renewal and trial reminders, the optional monthly review and local action notifications. They are calculated and scheduled locally through Android and WorkManager; subscription content is not sent to a server. Android may delay notifications because of battery or background restrictions.

11. Widgets

Widgets read the local database and may display upcoming payments, remaining monthly payments, amounts, currencies and subscription names on the home screen. The user decides whether to add them and accepts that the information may be visible to anyone with physical access to the device.

12. Google Play services

• Google Play Billing processes the optional Lifetime purchase and restoration. Google may process transaction data under its own policies.
• Seabil receives only the technical information needed to display the product and regional price, start the purchase, confirm entitlement and restore it. TSI Dev Studio does not receive full card details.
• Google Play In-App Review or the Play listing may be opened for a review. Google manages the rating and review text; Seabil does not store them.

13. Permissions

• INTERNET: only for Google Play Billing, Lifetime restoration and the official review flow; Seabil's own code does not transmit the database to a TSI Dev Studio server.
• NOTIFICATIONS: for renewal reminders, trial alerts and the optional monthly review. Denial does not block core organization features.
• Seabil does not request broad storage, contacts, SMS, location, camera or microphone permissions.

14. Retention, deletion and user control

• Data remains local while the app is installed and the user does not delete it. External backups and CSV files remain at the chosen location until manually deleted.
• The user can delete, archive or cancel subscriptions, use Delete all local data, clear Android app data or uninstall the app.
• Lifetime entitlement remains linked to Google Play. Seabil cannot automatically delete separately saved files.
• TSI Dev Studio cannot view or remotely change local data, recover a deleted database or backup password, or remotely delete user-created files.

15. Security

Seabil uses Android app isolation, and Seabil backups are encrypted and protected by the user's password. No method guarantees absolute security on a compromised device, after password disclosure or when an unencrypted CSV is copied. A secure device lock and separate password storage are recommended.

16. Children, external links and policy changes

Seabil is a general organization tool and is not designed specifically for children. TSI Dev Studio does not collect children's personal data through a Seabil account or server.

The app may open Google Play, the TSI Dev Studio page and user-entered management links; the external service applies its own policy.

This policy may be updated when features, legal requirements or processing practices change. The version number and date will be updated.
